MCP becomes MTT

From 1st September 2008, MCP Tooling Technologies will be known as MTT Technologies Group. The name change is a result of MCP Tooling Technologies demerging from the MCP Group which has merged with a competitor and retained the MCP name. From an operational standpoint, the transition from MCP to MTT will be seamless.

The MTT Technologies Group will comprise MTT Technologies Limited, MTT Technologies GmbH, MTT Technologies France and MTT Technologies Italy. A network of distributors and sales agents will cover sales in other territories.

MTT’s Managing Director and Deputy CEO, Simon Scott, says, “We see this as a fantastic opportunity for MTT to move forward and concentrate on a new rapid manufacturing technologies business. As the MTT Technologies Group, we will remain at the manufacturing site in Stone, Staffordshire which was designed and built four years ago. All staff at the site will continue as employees of MTT.”

MTT will continue to manufacture the existing MCP range of products at the Stone site. All of these technologies will be promoted under the MTT Technologies Group banner at the forthcoming TCT conference and exhibition at Coventry next month (on stand C12).

Simon Scott continues, “As well as continuing to supply MCP’s existing product range under the new MTT Technologies Group brand, we are expanding the Stone site to include new R & D facilities as we migrate towards more technical products. Customers can expect to see further developments on our Additive Metals Manufacturing Technologies and other new technologies in the near future.”
